CS: GO is a first-person tactical shooter. Two teams of five players fight versus each other on one of seven unique maps. Each map has two bomb sites. The offence side (or T side) needs to plant the bomb on one of the bomb sites, while the defence (or CT side) must prevent this or defuse the bomb if it was planted. Another option to win is to eliminate the opposing team if the bomb was not already planted.
Players gain money for kills (aka ‘frags’), bomb explosions, and bomb disposals, at the end of every round. With this money, they can buy weapons, armour, grenades, and defuse kits on the CT side. On one side 15 rounds are played. After this, teams switch sides.
