Overwatch is a 3D action first-person game where two teams of six players fight each other to complete different goals depending on map type. Each player chooses one of the different heroes with unique weapons and abilities.
Maps are divided into four types depending on the goals of the attacking team. On every map, the defending team tries to prevent attackers from achieving their goals. After one team achieved the goal or failed to do it due to time is up, teams swap their roles. The team, which could achieve more during its play in offence, wins.
Map modes:
Assault. In this mode, attackers need to take two control points by staying for some time in a certain area without a single enemy inside it.
Escort. Attackers need to move the payload to a delivery point by staying near it. The payload will not move if at least one defender is near as well.
Hybrid. This mode combines Assault and Escort. First, attackers need to take one control point and then deliver the payload to a delivery point.
Control. This mode is similar to assault, but the difference is that there is only one control point and teams fight to hold it for more time. There are no offence/defence sides in this mode.
